: is selling back my college textbooks to the bookstore a good idea?
I may sell mine to the bookstore on monday, if anyone has done this, how much money have you gotten? what’s the most money the bookstore has given you?

Why not trying to seel your books online. I all ways make alot more money when I use a site called http://www.bigwords.com to sell my textbooks back after the semester when i am done with them.

I have been using Ebay for a while, and I just now starting selling on Amazon. Amazon is definitely the faster way to sell because I can sell a book in a day instead of waiting for a 6 day auction to end. But where would textbooks make more money. Do you think more people go to Amazon or Ebay when searching for cheap textbooks? I usually search both of them when I need a book, but what do you think? Thanks!

You make more money selling the books on campus to other students. You can sell for less than the used price at the bookstore, but more than you make on Amazon or Ebay. It works out better for you and the buyer.

I have a ton of textbooks from previous semesters, which I bought new and are in great condition. The bookstore sells used books with a 25% discount from the original price, so I was thinking selling mine with a 30% off. Do you think that is ok? Or should I go down to 35% or 40%? I’m making fliers, so I need a price.

I would say 30% certainly gives people initiative. So, sell the books with connotation at 35% and the clean ones at 30%. I don’t think you should go so entirely low, but definitely low; college kids are poor and they won’t know if you planned to sell them down to 40% unless you tell them.
